About the Artist

An artist with over 30 years of experience.

shannon cranston

Shannon Cranston is a fluid art painter who lives in Abbotsford, BC. She finds inspiration in the beauty of the province, and many of her paintings reflect her love of the ocean from time spent on Vancouver Island.

Shannon has always expressed herself through art and has done many forms over the years. She worked with pottery for a number of years and taught classes in both painting and pottery until she was no longer able to continue that due to arthritis in her wrists. She then found a new form of painting that she could do with minimal impact – fluid art. She has since been focussing her talent on creating unique fluid art pieces, and often has them displayed in local galleries and shops. Painting brings her joy, and she hopes that she can bring joy to others through her creations.

Over the past 30 years, I have created pottery, clay works, tole painting pieces, and taught painting classes. Now I focus solely on varying styles of fluid art pieces, on canvases as well as decorative items and jewellery. Whether you are looking for a canvas painting or a specialty painting product, I will work with you to produce a finished piece that you will love. I can produce the following types of pieces for your home or business:

  • Acrylic paintings on a 6×6, 12×12, 16×20, 20×20, 12×36 canvas, and more, each available in various shapes. (All dimensions are in inches).
  • Specialty painting products: These include paintings on water bottles, jewelry boxes, vases, small furniture, and other items.
If you have an item that you would like to have painted, get in touch with me to discuss the details of your project.

Sometimes it is easier to show than tell.

While I could describe each piece I have created, I often find that pictures can say so much more than words. See the gallery below for some examples of my canvas paintings and specialty painting products. Want to learn more about a specific piece? Get in touch with me today!
